How we work

From your uniform designs to shoes that fit, in one order.

Process

Four steps. One order.

I

You send us your uniform designs.

Sketches, fabric references, a brand book, or photographs of what the staff wear today — whatever exists. We work from your palette and your materials, and we will ask for a swatch when a colour has to be matched exactly. If the uniform is still being designed, we can talk to the uniform house directly.

II

We come back within a week.

A proposal built department by department. Each role gets a model, a material and a colour, with the reasoning written next to it. If a shoe is wrong for the floor it stands on, we say so at this stage rather than after production.

III

You give us headcount and departments.

We quote the same day, broken out by department so you can move numbers around without asking us to re-quote. Samples can be made before the full order if you need to see the shoe in the hand.

IV

Production takes four to five weeks.

Every pair is made to order after the design, quantity and sizes are confirmed. Repeat orders follow the same specification.

Sizing & fit

Three ways to get every size right before anything is cut.

Route I · Sizing form

Everyone gives their usual size and the brand they normally wear. We convert against that brand's own chart.

Route II · Measuring devices

We send the devices to the property and staff measure their feet in centimetres.

Route III · Size run

We send a run of sizes to try on. Those pairs then go to staff rather than going to waste.

When the team has not been hired yet

Most properties we work with are opening. We produce a first batch on a regular size curve and hold the rest of the order. As hiring finishes and real sizes come in, the second batch covers what is actually missing. It costs less than one blind production run, because we are not making the far ends of the size range for people who do not exist yet.

Quality & standards

Built for a shift, not for a photograph.

We specify the last, upper, lining and sole against the work each department does. Samples are checked for fit, colour and construction before a production run is approved. Every pair is inspected in the workshop before packing.

Production

Made to order in Portugal.

Leather and suede stored in the footwear workshop

Everything is made to order in Portugal, where shoes have been made for generations.

Leathers and canvas come from European tanneries and mills we have worked with since 2019. When a colour has to match a fabric, we work from your swatch rather than a screen reference.

Lead time is four to five weeks from a signed order and confirmed sizes. Repeat orders for new starters run on the same lead time.

Delivery

From the workshop to the right department.

Shipped from Portugal

Orders leave the workshop as one consignment, or split by department if the property wants boxes that go straight to each floor.

Documentation

Every shipment carries a packing list, a size breakdown by department and name, and the invoice. Your finance team gets what it needs without asking twice.

Your forwarder or ours

We work directly with the forwarder, yours or ours. Customs paperwork is prepared here so nothing waits at the other end.
